The collapse of Brazil's failing prison system, driven by mass incarceration and the appalling conditions in jails, penitentiaries and prisons, has created chaos: there are no vacancies left in prisons or police-station holding cells. The documentary reveals the harrowing situation of detainees—some seriously injured—who are crammed into police vehicles for months in utterly inhumane conditions.
